7 Amazon Must Haves – Kids Edition

PSA: I am an Amazon mom through and through.

I knew I wanted to have a series of “round-ups” on this blog. I don’t know about you, but I love getting down to the nitty-gritty so that is just what I’ll start with here!

My kiddos are currently 7, 4, and 18 months.
This is a round-up of 7 of some of their our favorite things, in no particular order!

Check out my entire Amazon Storefront recommendation lists here!

  1. Pretend Play Grocery Store
I can’t be the only one who wanted to grow up to be a cashier/bagger at a grocery store. I love playing this with my kids! The Melissa & Doug Grocery Store is by far the best on the market. It’s sturdy, multi-functional, and easy to put together. The price tag is hefty, but well worth it IMO. We have turned it into many different stores (Target, Best Buy, Pet Shop). The pretend options are honestly endless!
Amazon has it for the lowest price that I’ve found.
  2. Play Dirt
This one is (mainly) for all my boy moms out there whose kiddos love getting in that dirt! The best thing about this sensory play is that it’s kinetic, dirt-like sand that is extremely easy to clean up!
I store it in a giant party drink tub from Walmart (easiest to find in the seasonal section during spring & summer!) You can find them there for under $5.
Add your construction equipment and four-wheeler toys for hours of digging and racing entertainment!
  3. Puzzles
I’ve compiled a list here on my Amazon Storefront of some of our favorite puzzles. I love the wooden puzzles the most. The wood keeps them sturdy compared to other materials that get flimsy or the picture on them tears.
My son was able to do the boxed puzzles like these when he was almost 3. They are 9 piece puzzles with four different ones surrounding a common theme in each box. He quickly fell in love and I currently have almost all the sets.

My 18 month old has loved their chunky puzzles like this one for awhile now! You can even use them with your toddlers to teach shapes and colors, like we do! If you have a Mickey Mouse loving baby, definitely order this one!
If you have a hard time storing the larger sheet puzzles, I recommend purchasing the Melissa & Doug rack that makes storing them a little easier!
  4. Art Utensil Storage + Organization
This is kind of a random one… but I grabbed this storage center to keep all the markers, colored pencils, and other art supplies I immediately purchased when I found out school was cancelled due to COVID-19! The kids love to grab the container with their art medium of choice and I love the colors on it! It’s a great size and holds SO much!
You could even attach a lazy susan spinner underneath to make it spin!
  5. Large Soft Blocks
The moment I saw my little one play with these in the waiting room of the dentist, I had to order them! They brought my then 12 month old so much joy. The older kids love to use them for creative play.
I like this particular set because they have multiple primary colors and shapes! I also love how they look in our playroom.
These are the ones we have!
  6. Slime!
I’ll be the first to admit I’ve avoided purchasing my kids slime! But quarantine induced mom guilt had me doing things for my kids I hadn’t done before – buying this slime kit was one of them! It’s fun sensory play and keeps them busy forever! I would much rather purchase slime than do a DIY kit because I truthfully just don’t have time to mess with that! This is the best at store slime I have yet to try. I love this kit because it comes with a variety of textures and really increases the play time! It’s under $15!
  7. An AirFort
This is the easiest way for your kids to get that amazing fort they beg you to build every day. All you have to do is stick a box fan at the end of it and BOOM – you’re instantly the coolest parent ever. It’s easy to store away and pops up in under 10 seconds!
These also make for a great gift! Everyone loves them!

I hope you found this helpful and found some new fun things for the kiddos in your life! Let me know what you order in the comments, I’d love to hear what you guys found exciting!
